About
LabDeck is a virtual electronics laboratory that runs in your browser. You draw a schematic, connect a function generator, place the probes of an oscilloscope on the drawing and watch: turn a knob, or change the value of a component, and you see the transient settle into the new steady state, as on a real bench.
Why it exists
People who study electronics do not always have an oscilloscope, a generator and the time to build a circuit. LabDeck is for getting familiar with the instruments: where the controls are, what changes when you turn the time base, why the trigger holds the signal still. It does not try to be a full circuit simulator like SPICE: the fidelity is in the instruments and in the behaviour of basic circuits (resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes), not in realistic simulation of every component.
How it works
- The simulation runs in your browser. Your schematics are not sent to any server: they stay on your device.
- To share an experiment, copy a link: the schematic, the instruments and the position of the knobs are contained in the address itself, and whoever opens it gets a copy of their own.
- The instruments are a two-channel analog oscilloscope and a function generator; more instruments (multimeter, spectrum analyser, power supply) are planned.
